Young Farmers Petition: Save Beginning Farmer Programs

The National Young Farmers‘ Coalition has recently created a petition to show the nation’s broad support for new farmers and new farmer training. Please help to save beginning farmer programs. They are asking for your signature, an that you pass the word along. Since it received funding in 2008, the Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program funded 145 different training programs, from apprenticeships in Illinois to legal aid for farmers in Nebraska. It’s successful, it’s well run and it’s necessary in a nation that desperately needs more farmers.
