I wanted to let you know about an exciting new opportunity for Michigan producers, and co-ops. The U.S. Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for competitive grants to help you expand your operations to include value-added products.
These Value-Added Producer Grants may be used for feasibility studies or business plans, working capital for marketing value-added agricultural products, and for farm-based renewable energy projects. The deadline to apply is August 29, 2011.
