Today, The United States Department (USDA) released details of a new version of the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) for agricultural producers. New Urban Agriculture County Committee Accepting Nominations 

One of the historic elements of the 2018 Farm Bill was the inclusion of dedicated resources and programs for urban agriculture, including both the creation of the USDA Office of Urban Agriculture and its associated grant making authority. 

In addition to creating the Office of Urban Agriculture, USDA also instructed the Farm Service Agency (FSA) to create a 10-pilot Urban and Suburban Committe, which will offer vital input to FSA programming and, more broadly, how USDA can best serve the needs of growers and their communities.
