Urban Farming/Gardening Classes this Fall in Chicago
The Chicago Garden Blog (Mr. Brown Thumb) lists a number of interesting urban farming/gardening classes taking place this Fall in Chicago. Check out the list at: https://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/chicago-garden/2009/10/urban-farming-classes-in-chicago-fall-09.html
Good morning,
I hope this email finds you well! I am writing to ask if you all at Beginning Farmers happen to know of any people who would be willing to volunteer their time to give a free workshop. I am an AmeriCorps Project YES! volunteer with the Northwestern Settlement. We are hosting a Seeds of Service event on May 18. During this event, we hope to engage 120 adult volunteers in community gardens around the Humboldt Park area. As a part of our event, we plan on providing volunteers with a variety of workshops at our central meeting place (the Humboldt Park field house). I very much appreciate any help you can provide.
Take care and have a great day!
Tasha
