Internship Opportunity at Spring Creek Farm in Solebury, Pennsylvania – 2021

Spring Creek Farm sits on 125 acres of beautiful, rolling farmland in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The farm is entering its second year of production; facilitating Community Supported Agriculture and growing a variety of certified organic produce and cut flowers. Spring Creek operates according to organic standards and continually strives for harmony with nature.

We are seeking 3 summer interns, and 1 assistant manager. This is a working internship, meaning interns will “learn by doing” and become a vital part of the vegetable operation. Interns will be involved in all aspects of greenhouse work, planting, cultivation, pest and disease management, harvest, washing/packing, and farm market operations. 

Interns are required to work outdoors in all weather – heat, humidity, cold, rain, snow, etc. All applicants need to be fit, able to work independently and as a team, and live a healthy lifestyle with a positive attitude. Prior work experience with farming, construction, or in commercial kitchens is helpful, but not required. A strong desire to learn about organic vegetable production is a must! 

Community housing is provided, plus a $1,000 monthly stipend.  Assistant manager will also be provided communal on-site housing, and salary will depend on experience. Interns have unlimited access to “ugly” veggies, plus a 20% discount on meat and eggs from the farm! The daily hour commitment will vary depending on seasonal demands, but interns will be expected to work alongside the farm manager 40-50hr per week. There will also be opportunities to tour other sustainable farming operations in the region! Our 2021 internship begins April 5^th and ends November 5^th.
