RODALE INSTITUTE TO HOLD ORGANIC FIELD DAY JULY 23 IN KUTZTOWN

Public Invited to 11 Demonstration Stations to Learn More About Organic Farming

Rodale Institute, the global leader in regenerative organic agriculture, is set to hold its annual Organic Field Day on July 23, 2021 from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The Field Day is located at Rodale Institute’s 333-acre experimental farm in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.

For a $25 registration fee, attendees can explore the grounds at their own pace, visiting 11 stations located around the farm dedicated to Rodale Institute research, programs, and demonstrations. At each station, participants will be able to watch interactive presentations, talk to Rodale Institute researchers, and ask questions.

Research stations included in Organic Field Day are:

Organic apple growing
Treatment-free beekeeping
Tomato grafting and high tunnel production
Composting
Soil health/no-till management
Pastured hog production
Farming Systems Trial (FST)
Vegetable Systems Trial (VST)
Industrial hemp research

Food will be available for purchase on-site, but visitors may also bring their own lunch. Attendees should dress appropriately for a day out on the farm with closed-toe shoes, sun protection, and a water bottle.

For anyone not able to travel to Pennsylvania, Rodale Institute is again offering a Virtual Field Day option through the new Virtual Campus. The Virtual Field Day will include on-demand, view-at-your-own-pace video content featuring our research trails and farm projects.
