Devils Gulch Ranch in Nicasio, Marin County, California, is seeking to hire someone to be the primary person responsible for our meat rabbit production. Must be extremely responsible, alert, attentive, and passionate about compassionate animal husbandry in a commercial, professional setting. We have been raising meat rabbits and selling to high quality restaurants for close to 20 years. This person would work directly with, and get trained by, Myriam Kaplan-Pasternak, DVM, who is an internationally recognized meat rabbit veterinarian. Secondary responsibilities would be to help with our pig and lamb production working with Mark Pasternak. This is a full time position, 5-6 days per week, 8-10 hours per day.
Pay would be determined by experience, competency, skill, and the demonstration of appropriate abilities and desire to do the require tasks, which would include, but not be limited to, feeding, cleaning, breeding, weaning, health care, repairs and maintenance.
