Food and Agriculture Webinars: Taking a Systems Approach
Webinars on Food and Agriculture: Taking a Systems Approach, from American Farmland Trust
Please join American Farmland Trust for a series of webinars on Planning for Food and Agriculture: Taking a Systems Approach. These webinars present an opportunity for individuals working in local and regional food systems to learn from successful examples.
Through this webinar series, planners, food policy council members, leaders in sustainable agriculture and other advocates of food system change will learn how to form strategic partnerships, conduct food system assessments, gather stakeholder input, and establish forward-thinking goals and steps for implementing them.
We will be hosting two webinars that will explore comprehensive food systems plans on both broad and more focused scales. You can register for one or both of the upcoming webinars:
State and regional planning (November 15, 2 pm): Participants in this webinar will learn about the key elements of state and regional plans, from engaging diverse stakeholders, to gathering good data, and how these agencies are ensuring implementation. Speakers for the webinar include representatives from the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, and the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund.
County and community-based planning (December 13, 2 pm): This webinar will focus on county and community-based food and agriculture plans. Invited speakers include representatives from the Iowa Corridor Food and Agriculture Coalition, King County, Washington, and the Sacramento Area Council of Governments.
