Summer Permaculture Design Course with Sowing Solutions: July 17th – 30th, 2015

This course is held at the Sirius EcoVillage in Western Massachusetts, where we practice ecological design for actual clients in the Hearthstone Village (an extended neighborhood surrounding the Sirius Community and Retreat Center).

•       Students of this PDC will learn first-hand about working with design clients, conducting an ecological design, and applying permaculture techniques and strategies for creating abundance, resilience, and wellbeing across the land and in our communities.

•       A study of permaculture at the ecovillage offers an opportunity to evaluate and learn from permaculture designs that have been generated during our courses and implemented onsite over the last 12+ years.

•       Gaining your internationally recognized certification with Sowing Solutions is an experience of empowerment, support, inspiration and skill building.

•       All that you learn in this course can be applied at your home and in your communities.

•       Skill shares, discussions, design actvities, experience in the gardens, orchards and forest gardens, natural building demonstrations, tours of local permaculture sites, immersion in community life, stories and presentations, food preservation and medicine making, mapping, observing patterns in nature, networking, await your arrival.

Optional: 3 college credits are offered through UMASS and the Five Colleges.
