Organic Weed Management Training in Massachusetts

Please join the New Entry Sustainable Farming Project in the fields this Thursday for a training on organic weed management. The training will take place from 4p-6p at 1480 Bridge St, Dracut, Ma. Please park behind the Dairy.

Summer has finally arrived, and with it has come the portmanteau biota of all shapes, sizes and origins. Whether you’ve been fighting an uphill battle against weeds in your fields for years, or are a newcomer to these competitive pests, this workshop is for you.

Together we will learn how to identify the most common weeds that may be taking up residence in your fields. You will learn how to effectively manage weeds in an organic and sustainable way, weather you have a large farm or a smaller market garden.

Please wear appropriate farm attire, including closed toed shoes, to this workshop. We will be working with farm equipment such as walk behind tractors, cultivators, hand tools and flame weeders. Weeds beware.
