Organic Vegetable Manager Position at Inglewood Farm in Louisiana – 2019

Inglewood Farm in central Louisiana is seeking an experienced farmer to take leadership and/or ownership of our organic vegetable business on up to 30 acres of certified organic land. We are seeking an entrepreneurial farmer who understands regenerative farming practices and has a commitment to growing organic vegetables for our community and region. 

Accompanying our vegetable acreage is a beautiful “Harvest Barn” where we currently conduct post-harvest operations.  The building includes a washing station, walk-in cooler, storage rooms, kitchen and bathrooms as well as office space.  We also have a 90’ x 30’ greenhouse and a hardening house for prepping transplants.  A new field barn is located in the growing zones and has climate-controlled storage and a shop.

Current marketing opportunities include an on-site farmers market and two other weekly markets, wholesale sales and subscription sales.  We will be happy to share with you our previous 5 years of operational and marketing information.

• 1000 acres under lease for organic grains
• Pasture land with 100 red angus cows, managed by adaptive grazing
• A 1000-acre nature preserve
• 80 acres of organic pecan orchards
• A lovely historic district, shaded by giant live oak trees
