The Organic Research and Extension Initative (OREI) has this week opened applications for FY 2019 and FY 2020 Organic Research Funding Opportunities project proposals. OREI funds research, education, and extension projects that improve and advance organic agriculture – including projects that help advance soil health!

Farmers Look to Appropriators to Build Upon 2018 Farm Bill Victories
Farmers know that agriculture is a year-round job, and NSAC’s fly-in farmers know that advocacy is too! This week, NSAC welcomed 12 family farmers and ag-vocates to D.C. for our Spring 2019 Farmer Fly-in. Farmers and ag-vocates met directly with congressional appropriators and urged them to build on the wins of the 2018 Farm Bill by providing much-needed discretionary funding support.
