Part-Time Organic Dairy Farm Assistant Wanted in Pennsylvania Starting in 2015
Job: Seeking a part-time dairy farm assistant on a beautiful, historic organic dairy farm in Avella, PA. They are currently milking 75 Jersey cows and would like to hire someone interested in the farming business. This job has the potential to grow into a full-time management position.
Hours for the part-time position consist of 20-40 hours/week with $10.00-15.00/hour. The assistant will help with milking and herding cattle, setting fences and general farm maintenance. The current farmers are looking for someone to mentor and teach the dairy industry to and grow into a farm manager. Should the position lead to management, increase in pay and responsibilities will be discussed.
