New England Poultry Processing Survey

The New Entry Sustainable Farming Project and the New England Small Farm Institute manage a mobile poultry processing unit (MPPU) in Massachusetts. MPPU is the only legal poultry processing option in the state for many small farmers who want to sell their product at farmers markets, farm stands, or restaurants. A second MPPU is under construction right now and will be in operation next year.

If you raise poultry for meat, or if you hope to start next year, these organizations want to help you figure out the best way to get them processed and marketed. Please help out by filling out this quick survey. It will only take a few minutes, and your input will go a long way toward helping address the processing problems in the Northeast.
