Kitchen Garden Farm grows high-quality organic specialty vegetables in Sunderland, MA, for wholesale to stores and restaurants throughout the northeast region. We also produce award-winning sriracha and salsa from ingredients grown on the farm.

We are looking for a few highly motivated individuals to fill remaining Kitchen Garden Farm jobs for 2019 including Harvest Crew, Crew Leader, Production Crew, and Washroom Manager.
Kitchen Garden Farm Jobs
Harvest Crew
We are hiring full-time harvest crew members for the 2019 season. Harvesting positions start in mid-May and run through the end of October or later. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work Monday through Saturday with speed, endurance, and good cheer. Hours are generally 7am-5pm M-F and 8am-1pm on Saturdays, up to 50 hours per week. Part time schedules (4 days/week) also available. Previous farm experience preferred and responsibilities include harvesting, weeding, working in the washroom, and many other farm tasks. Valid driver’s license, strong attention to detail, safe handling of equipment, ability to work independently and on a team, and eagerness to learn are all essential. We are looking for highly energetic, motivated and passionate individuals who want to do the work necessary to provide our community with the highest quality produce possible.
Wage is $12/hour plus overtime > 40 hours.
Crew Leader
The crew leader assists the Harvest Manager to lead a small team on daily harvest tasks. Harvest Manager develops the strategy for tackling the day’s priorities and the Crew Leader helps execute the plan and provide feedback on harvest conditions in the field. Crew leader must have at least one full season on a production vegetable farm and familiarity with harvest techniques and strategies for speedy, efficient harvest of a wide variety of vegetables. Must also have a valid drivers license and strong communication skills. Crew leaders set the pace and tone for the other crew members and provide training, guidance, and motivation to harvest high-quality, consistently beautiful produce.
Wage is $13/hour plus overtime > 40 hours.
Production Crew
Production crew does all the work relating to growing a wide variety of organic vegetables including planting, tillage, cultivation, seeding, irrigation, etc., as well as bulk harvesting. Minimum one season vegetable farming and some tractor operation experience required. Production positions start in April and run through the end of October or later. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work Monday through Saturday with speed, endurance, and good cheer. Hours are generally 7am-5pm M-F and 8am-1pm on Saturdays, up to 50 hours per week. Valid driver’s license, strong attention to detail, safe handling of equipment, ability to work independently and on a team, and eagerness to learn are all essential. We provide on-the-job training and potential opportunities for management roles in future seasons.
Starting wage is $13/hour with at least a year prior experience; overtime > 40 hours.
Washroom Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to oversee washing and packing of vegetables for wholesale orders. The washroom manager supervises two wash/pack assistants and provides training and guidance to ensure efficient washroom operations and compliance with all food safety requirements. Strong attention to detail and quality, great communication skills, and ability to lift 50 lbs. and work with speed, endurance, and good cheer are essential. Customer service is also an important skill, as many of our buyers pick up at the farm. At least one season previous farm experience preferred. This is a great position for someone who has worked in food service or other fast-paced environment and has a passion for produce. Hours are generally 7am-6pm Monday-Friday.
Wage is $14/hour plus overtime > 40 hours.
