Jobs: Food Corps Positions Available in Montana

Grow Montana is now accepting applications for seven AmeriCorps VISTA FoodCorps members to build and tend school gardens help cafeterias serve locally-grown meals, and educate students about how and why to eat healthy, locally-grown food in beautiful, rural Montana communities. Grow Montana is also looking for five members for the summer-only team of Montana Campus Compact FoodCorps to build and tend school gardens in Potomac, Victor, Somers, and Sheridan. Community-based school gardens aim to combat the childhood obesity epidemic by improving access to and enthusiasm for fresh, locally-grown foods. Members earn a living stipend of $200 per week for 10 weeks, plus $1,175 education award for tuition or student loans upon completion of the term of service. Applications are due April 29th.
