Job: Post-Harvest Organic Produce Handling Manager, Michigan
FamGro Seeks Post-Harvest Manager
A newly created F/T salaried position to help create and lead the post-harvest, flow-to-market efforts of FamGro, an innovator of the way organic produce is grown. Responsible for advising and guiding engineers in the process, planning and design of post-harvest supply chain, including the specifications of processing, cold storage (cold chain management), handling, packing, packaging, transportation and distribution of fresh or fresh cut produce to reach the end user.
The individual will have at least 10 years’ experience and possess thorough knowledge of the specifications required for success in managing the flow-to-market of the post-harvest process, handling, packaging, transportation and distribution of fresh or fresh cut produce, including fruit, vegetables and/or leafy greens.
Successful in achieving goals with minimal direction and also in collaborative efforts in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. A creative thinker who relentlessly pursues solutions with critical deadline determination, and an effective communicator at all levels of the organization.
