Red Gate Farm in Buckland, Massachusetts is seeking a full-time farmer educator.

Company Description: Red Gate Farm is a non-profit educational farm providing overnight farm experiences for children and school groups.  The heart of our program lies in real work for real kids.  We put tools in the child’s hand and let them discover the joys of activity, challenge and satisfaction of a job done well.  Meaningful work at the farm includes caring for animals, tending the gardens, cooking meals, repairing buildings, constructing fences, managing woodlots and any number of other pieces of work that need to be done to maintain a small farm in working order.  As we work side by side, we find companionship in each other, and learn more about ourselves.

Qualifications: Employment at RGF requires a strong background in working with children and young people. Applications are accepted until the position is filled. Successful candidates will be required to interview at Red Gate Farm.

Job Description: Red Gate Farm is hiring staff to assist with the development and implementation of farm programs.  We are seeking exceptional individuals who are both ambitious and hard-working, and want to have a direct role in the shaping of a new farm education program.  This is an Equal Employment Opportunity.

Wage/Salary: $12,000 salary + housing, utilities, board & health insurance
