Internship at Greenmarket Garden in NYC with Katchie Farm

Passionate about Sustainable Food? We are looking for an intern to work at our NYC greenmarket farm stand over the next few months. This is an exciting opportunity to be a team player at a new greenmarket located inside Port Authority (started June 2009).

Responsibilities:
The greenmarket intern is responsible for working at least a half day (6 hours) on Thursdays for at least 3 months. Intern should be responsible, reliable, friendly, outgoing, and passionate about sustainable food and greenmarkets. This is a great opportunity to learn about product pricing, customer service, marketing, and community building at a new greenmarket. We sell not only farm produce, but sandwiches, prepared food, and artisanal products as well.

About Our Farm:
Katchkie Farm, an organic farm located in Kinderhook, NY, was born in 2006 when Great Performances, the leading New York City catering and events company, bought 60 never-before-farmed acres and started growing its own organic vegetables and fruit on the land. At Katchkie Farm, our desire to serve the freshest and most flavorful food takes root. Our produce is grown in our 10-acre vegetable garden and 9,000 square-feet of greenhouses.
