Incubator and Apprenticeship Field School
2019 National Field School – NIFTI and AgALN
November 4-6, 2019 | Ithaca, NY – Hotel Ithaca
The 2019 National Field School combines our 8th Annual National Incubator Farm Training Initiative (NIFTI) Field School and our 3rd Annual Ag Apprenticeship Learning Network (AgALN)!
The 2019 NFS supports professional development and network building for Incubator farm project staff and those engaged in Apprenticeship Learning from across the country. The Field School will involve farm field trips, interactive workshops, networking opportunities, and a reception in downtown Ithaca.
Join us for our first ever combined NIFTI & AgALN Field School, November 4-6, 2019 in Ithaca, NY. Hosted by New Entry and The Groundswell Center for Local Food and Farming the 2019 Field School is a chance for farmer trainers and incubator farmers to come together and participate in workshops, review sessions, goal setting and networking opportunities. Come learn from peers about how they run successful programs, gather ideas for your farms and programs, and spend time building relationships with people passionate about the work you do.
We host the Field School in a different community every year. In 2018, the 7th Annual NIFTI network Field School was held in Boulder, CO and the 2nd Annual AgALN Annual Gathering was held in Albequerque, NM. We move the annual conferences across the country to create regional equity and to see and honor the land and climates where our networks of apprenticeship and incubator farmers thrive. We look forward to learning more about Ithaca and the network of farmers who live and work there.
