Hops Farm Job in Colorado – Farm Assistant at Billy Goat Hop Farm in Montrose – 2020

We are Chris and Audrey, the owners and operators of Billy Goat Hop Farm, a 30 acre hop farm in Montrose, CO. The farm started in 2017 and this upcoming season will be our third harvest. We grow 11 varieties of hops and do all of the harvesting and processing ourselves onsite. We sell all of our hops direct to breweries throughout Colorado and the Southwest.

We are looking for a Farm Assistant who would like to learn about hop farming from start to finish for a full season. This person will help with all tasks around the farm, especially with our state of the art drip irrigation system. This is an awesome opportunity to learn more about farming and processing hops. It is also great hands-on training and experience running a drip irrigation system and chemigation, as well as spotting, diagnosing and treating disease and pests through both natural and chemical means. In addition, one will get to tractor work with diverse implements.
