The Farm in Clarksburg is seeking a passionate Hobby Farm Manager – New York, 2019

This is a full-time, year-round position. The manager will be working directly with the farm owners in any and all the various tasks associated with running the farm.  We’re looking for someone who will care for and love our animals, orchards and land as much as we do.

Where we are: The property is situated in Clarksburg NY, near Eden, and consists of 105 acres with ponds, apple tree orchards, two horses, two cats and two dogs.

What you will be required to do as the Hobby Farm Manager: maintaining existing infrastructure including buildings, grounds and equipment, supervising/assisting sub-contractors, physical labor, operating farm equipment (such as tractors and power tools) landscaping, garden work, seasonal chores (such as snow and leaf removal), errands, tracking and ordering supplies, care for the animals and barn. Forming a bond with the horses is essential. Care of the horses and weather conditions may pose situations in which hours are irregular. The Farm Manager should have a clean driving record and feel comfortable driving a truck in varying weather conditions.

Some core requirements: Character counts to us a great deal, we are looking for an individual who is passionate about animals, honest, dependable, a great communicator and an over all hard worker who will embody our brand.  You should have experience in caring for animals and working knowledge of land/building care.
