Hardiness Zone Map from USDA

Below you will find the USDA Hardiness Zone Map. Most of you are probably familiar with hardiness zones and their usefulness in planting decisions. But I thought it might be nice to have it here on the site as an easy reference tool.

For an updated interactive version of the map that allows you to zoom in, view by state or by zone go to https://www.usna.usda.gov/Hardzone/ushzmap.html.

Please note: this is the 1990 version of the map. USDA is in the process of creating another version of the hardiness map using new mapping technology and an extended set of meteorological data.
