Greenhorns Young Farmer Mixer – April 25 Petaluma, CA
From our friends at the Greenhorns:
Whether you’re rural or urban, in a backyard or on a college campus, in your tenth year or your first, come meet like-minded folks at the Baker Creek Seed Bank on Sunday, April 25th from 6-8pm.
Network, exchange ideas, and generally widen your community rhizome network! In addition to a roundtable, we’re going to have presentations by the Sonoma County Historical society on the legacy of chicken farming in the area, by Grown in Marin (which is an information clearinghouse for farmers and ranchers), and a few workshops. Feast on treats grown on nearby soils, make new friends and catch up with old ones.
Then head down to the Green String Farm from 9-11pm for a little hootenanny! Dance and drink in their beautiful barn and check out the stars.
We are providing some ride-share connecting services for this event, so if you’re car-less or are willing to fit a few more people in your biodiesel crustmobile, drop a line to anya.kamenskaya@gmail.com
The Baker Creek Seed Bank is located at 199 Petaluma Blvd. N in Petaluma, CA.
