Apple Seeds Seeks Garden-Based Education AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteers in Arkansas – 2019
Apple Seeds, a garden-based education nonprofit in Fayetteville AR, has four open AmeriCorps VISTA positions that are farm and food related. Apple Seeds continues to grow and we are looking for Program Coordinators to help expand our garden-based educational programs and build our capacity to reach more students in the coming year!
Apple Seeds is looking for four AmeriCorps VISTA service members to join our organization in August. These garden-based education positions help build capacity for our growing endeavor and provide a unique opportunity to serve our community. Apple Seeds seeks an entrepreneurial and enthusiastic full-time Farm to Table Coordinator. The Farm to Table Coordinator will work with the Program Manager to help build sustainable organizational capacity by leading and expanding our farm to table cooking programs at the Teaching Farm. The Farm to Table program includes a six week series of cooking classes and a 2-hour cooking class. This is an opportunity to be a part of a growing endeavor and provide a unique service in a supportive community.
The Farm Lab Coordinator will work with the Program Manager to help build sustainable organizational capacity for our Farm Lab field trip. Farm Lab is a 2-hour field trip for elementary students that educates and excites students about eating fresh healthy food.
Cooking in the Schools Coordinator
The Cooking in the Schools Coordinator will work with the Program Manager to help build sustainable organizational capacity for school cooking classes.
Program & Volunteer Coordinator
The Program & Volunteer Coordinator will work with our Program Manager to help build organizational capacity through our growing educational programs and volunteer program.
