Holistic Livestock Job in Nebraska – 2018-19

Fulton Farms is a holistically managed farming and livestock operation utilizing multi-species of farm animals. Our land base is a combination of native rangeland, irrigated pastures, and irrigated cropland. We raise organic grain crops, cover crops and hay in a rotation. Other enterprises include custom grazing and grass fed beef and lamb. We are located in the Loess Hills and Clear Creek Valley of central Nebraska. Our operation is well recognized as a model for regenerative farming. We’ve hosted visitors from around the world and have been featured in numerous publications, books, and documentaries.

Holistic livestock job duties include assisting with livestock management, land management, irrigation, field operations, record keeping, marketing, new enterprise development, and maintenance of buildings, grounds, fences, and equipment.

Experience in some of the above areas is required but we would also consider training the right person with limited experience starting with a paid internship position.

The Holistic Livestock Job salary range is $30,000–$40,000 depending on experience. On farm housing is available with utilities paid. There is also the opportunity to develop your own on farm enterprises that would potentially add additional income beyond the designated salary. Hours vary from 30-60 hours per week depending on the season but will average 40 hours/week on an annual basis with one to two days a week off depending on the season. Additional vacation time is allowed.
