Free Marketing Webinars for Farmers – From Future Harvest CASA – April, 2020
Future Harvest CASA’s Farmer Field School programming has moved online for the foreseeable future and these events are free to participants.
Future Harvest CASA will continue to address our current reality with special Farmer Field School sessions dedicated to marketing and distribution in the time of COVID-19, but will also provide their standard programming online – helpful to farmers, soils, and businesses year after year – incorporating important pivots for everyone’s safety as needed. Please join them for these free marketing webinars for farmers:
Monday 4/13 – Marketing Part 1: Crafting Your Vision 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. Join Liz Reitzig of Nourishing Liberty for part one of this two-part webinar series. Part one includes a hands-on tutorial on crafting a vision statement, and attendees will get a take-home assignment to complete before part two. We’ll also do a quick overview of Future Harvest’s COVID-19 communication resources for farmers. FREE, RSVP required here.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, farmers are grappling with new restrictions and new opportunities for sales. Now more than ever, it’s important to identify the ideal customer and pinpoint how to reach them.
Identify your why: learn what makes your business unique and how to communicate that to attract the customers you want.
During this session, participants will learn to craft a vision statement for themselves that they can use on multiple platforms. Liz will walk you through writing – participation required! You will leave this session with an outline form to work on over the next week. Get your answers ready before part 2:
Monday 4/20 – Marketing Part 2: Connecting With Your Customer 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. You have a vision, but now what? Liz Reitzig will spend the first hour on methods for reaching potential new customers and a discussion around making decisions about how to allocate time and energy. The second hour is reserved for Q and A, so bring your farm-specific questions. FREE, RSVP required here.
1.What are some options for platforms for marketing and sales? How can you pick the best one for you?
2. What are the best methods for reaching potential new customers? Where are the best places to allocate your time and energy?
3. When should you outsource? Once you have your communication principles in place, it will be easier to outsource some of the labor and/or action.
