Flower Farm Internship in California
Full-Time Flower Farm Internship in Pescadero, California – 2019
Flower Farm Internship Description:
We are looking for a full time intern to join our farm family and live/work on farm for the 2019 season. Forever Bloom Farm is a 5 acre farm six miles from the Pacific Ocean in a small coastal farming community one hour south of San Francisco. We farm in a small sunny valley surrounded by redwood forest. We utilize all organic practices and no-till production techniques to produce gorgeous flowers, juicy fruits and berries, healthy delicious vegetables and eggs. Our farm focuses on cut flower production and you will have a unique opportunity to learn everything about growing cut flowers for market and on-farm events. We are looking for someone excited about learning the ins and outs of a cut flower production. From starting seeds to creating artisan floral creations, you will get hands on training in all of the facets of the operation.
This is an internship and we love to teach and are committed to training and passing on our knowledge to our interns. We are excited to train you so while you do not need experience, you must bring a desire to learn, be self-motivated, flexible and hard working. The staff consists of two women partners who are energetic, entertaining, and hard-working along with a handful of part time seasonal workers. We love to laugh, learn and create beauty together.
Dates: Position requires a full-time commitment of five days per week starting immediately through November.
Schedule: The position is full time, five to six days per week in the busier times of the year and four to five days per week during the slower months (due to farmers market and event schedules, scheduled days will need to flex monthly). There is a weekly stipend that will flex depending upon the number of days worked, and housing is included (360 sq. foot furnished yurt, internet, laundry, shared outdoor kitchen and bath facilities, fresh produce and eggs as available). We are open to a significant other living with the intern on farm.
