Midori Farm is a 29 acre organic farm located in the town of Quilcene in East Jefferson County, Washington on the verdant North Olympic peninsula. We grow high quality organic vegetables, garden seedlings, seeds and craft our own traditionally fermented sauerkraut and kimchi from farm-grown produce. We sell our produce at three local farmers markets, organic food retailers, restaurants, a small CSA and at our on farm stand. 

This 2019 season we will grow approximately 11 acres of vegetables and 4 acres of soil-building cover crops.  We use a combination of human and tractor power.  While we have been in business for 10 years, this is only our 5^th growing season on our new property, so we are continually building new infrastructure and refining our systems.   

Field Production Crew Job Description:  We are looking for motivated, experienced individuals to join our full-time field production crew for the 2019 season and beyond.  Field crew work directly with the production manager and farm owners to produce about 11 acres of vegetables and some small fruits.  This includes, planting, hoeing, hand weeding, irrigation work, harvesting and marketing.    

Successful field production crew candidates will: have a clean driving record, be able to perform repetitive physical tasks in all types of weather for long periods of time, be able to lift 50 pounds, love vegetables and the outdoors, be interested in learning to work efficiently, be positive, calm, honest and kind.   Adult communication skills are required.  Opportunities for leadership roles exist for motivated team members.  Starting pay is $12 per hour with a 40-50 hour, 5 day work week and an end-of-season performance based bonus.  This is a seasonal position from Late March – late November with possible part time winter hours.   Rustic housing may be available.   There is also one position available from June -Mid September.
