Farmland Access Meeting in Illinois
Below is a meeting invitation to all farmers interested in the issue of farmland access for small scale sustainable farmers in Northern/North Central Illinois. It seems that there are a growing number of farmers who are looking for a larger parcel of land to farm long-term, but finding affordable farmland in our area is difficult due to high cost and a lack of smaller (10-20 acre) parcels.
The purpose of this meeting, organized by Angelic Organics Learning Center, is to: Investigate how we can address this need; Come up with a workable plan; Put our plan into action
Who should attend: Interested farmers, aspiring farmers, landowners, and supporting organizations
When: Wednesday, April 27 7:00 pm
Where: Prairie Crossing Development Center, 32400 N. Harris Road (yellow farmhouse) Grayslake, IL
