Community by Design is looking for an enthusiastic, well-organized, and multi-skilled Farm Manager, Systems Coordinator and Jack/Jill of all Trades to oversee day-to-day operations and assist with long-term planning at our 58 acre farm cooperative.
Community by Design is embarking on a unique experiment to create a small-farm incubator on a 58-acre parcel of land within 15 miles of downtown Portland, Oregon. The goal is an integrated business and residential community with a mix of long-term and short-term farmers working, living on, and stewarding the land.
Openness to both Permaculture design and Biodynamic agriculture is a must. The ideal candidate would have experience with operating and repair of farm equipment, know how to set up systems for management, and have the ability to communicate with and oversee a diverse group of people.
