Priapi Gardens, a long established garden center and USDA Organic vegetable farm is seeking and individual/couple to help us with customer service at the (5) local area Farmers’ Markets that we attend. The position would also encompass caring for an Asian pear orchard of 200 trees and bringing that crop to market in the late summer. Profits from that segment of our business would be shared with the employee/intern as we need extra help in that area, specifically. Throughout the entire season (April – November), we will provide daily training/coaching, no matter what the applicant’s level of experience. Compensation is negotiable and flexible based on interest and experience. We are looking ideally for an outgoing person/couple that loves people, the land, what they do. This is what our customers have experienced when they shop with us and what makes our farm unique. Being able to interact with the public successfully, is essential in a candidate.

Our farm is located Cecilton, Maryland, on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Maryland, on MD Route 213, between the scenic Sassafras and Bohemia Rivers in Cecil County. Route 213 is a National Scenic Byway. Local housing (we will assist in locating) is available and transportation is necessary.

As stewards of the environment, our goal is to grow and market the finest quality plants possible while being ever aware of preserving our ecosystem and its natural resources. In our production practices, we use virtually no pesticides. This eliminates exposing our employees and most importantly, our customers to pesticides. We call this approach “Bay Friendly” as it also protects the Chesapeake Bay.
