Farm in Colorado Seeking Co-Operator

Oxford Road Farm is located at 4290 Oxford Road, Longmont, Colorado 80503 (5 miles north of downtown Boulder).  The farm is small, 6 acres with 2 acres tilled at present and another acre split into two small sheep/pig enclosures.  The farm has hens and sells eggs, as well as hops, vegetables, fruit, cider, and meat.  The farm holds small events regularly, including several weddings every summer, because it is located on Left Hand Creek and borders open space.

The farm seeks a co-operator to run the farming end for 2015.  All costs and equipment will be provided.  This includes tractor and tiller and other machinery, seeds, water, land, marketing, fuel, trellising, etcetera.  The idea is for this to be a no-cost operation for the farmer with a 50/50 split of sales, which should be highly motivating.  Depending on the situation, a stipend to help with cost of living can be provided.

Marketing wise, we have sold at farmers markets, individually, to a restaurant, and via a CSA.  With some work, you can sell whatever you grow. Ideally, this project would be for the duration of the 2015 growing season. Due to the 2013 flood, which has now been fully recovered from, the Facebook page for Oxford Road Farm has not been updated for over a year.  Those pages, however, give a good idea of the setup.
