Farm Help Wanted on Cape Cod
Join us in the woods of Truro on our small slice wonder. Learn and assist in all aspects of a small farm business including vegetable garden, prepared food line, and body care product line and assist in aspects of behind the scenes business management like filling orders for online clients, restaurants and more. Assist at farmers markets.
Farm Help: Most time will be spent in the garden – planting, weeding, harvesting, pest control, soil tending and farmers market prep. We tend our garden by hand, hand tools, and wheelbarrow. Some help in the kitchen: making and packaging prepared food items and body care items.
We like to have fun in the work we do but remember this is manual labor and is physically demanding. You must be able to lift 50 lbs, be able to navigate varying & uneven terrain, and be prepared to work in all weather including rain, heat, and cool temperatures.
The right candidates would be self motivated, nature loving, anti racist, conscious of queer identities, and like dogs cats goats & chickens.
Need your own transportation—use of your own vehicle may be necessary at times for the farm and there is very limited public or Lyft style transportation available in this area.
Compensation includes weekly stipend; garden vegetables for meals; and private housing in a yurt with electricity, outdoor shower & claw foot tub, and private kitchen use.
