Farm Equipment Operator Wanted at Bonk Farms – Magnolia, Delaware – Summer 2015

Bonk Farms, located in Magnolia, Delaware is a 3500 acre grain and vegetable farm.  We are a family owned operation that prides itself in growing high quality crops.

We are currently hiring a FULL TIME Operator-Mechanic for our farm.  We have a mixture of both IH and John Deere equipment all using auto-steer and technology.

In this position your role will change as the seasons change.  Ideally, we are looking for someone with prior farming experience, but are open to someone that has operated heavy equipment or has a love/passion for agriculture.

Compensation for this position depends on level of experience.

Responsibilities:

-Operate large farm equipment including tractors, planters, spreader, grain cart, and other specialty equipment like irrigation, record and track accurate field data using technology, diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment as needed, assist in running irrigation equipment, follow required safety procedures, and assist in other duties to keep farm running.

Job Requirements:

-Farming/Agriculture Background

-Valid driver license, CDL a plus

– Self motivated, team player, ability to work independently

– Must be able to work extended hours during busy times especially planting and harvest season.
