1) Autumn Workshop Series in Michigan – Food Preservation (Part 1): Solar Dehydrator, Cider Press, and Kombucha Culture. Presented by Potential Energy Holistic Design. Come learn the basics of the “Beer Can” solar collector. Help build one that we can donate to someone in the community! While we’re at it, there will be Cider to press and Kombucha SCOBYs to culture! Help us kick off our Autumn Workshop Series Next Saturday at “The Shire” of Meridian Township, currently home to Potential Energy Holistic Design! Bring a mason jar for your kombucha, and you will not leave empty handed!

2) Celebrate Farm to Freezer on National Food Day in Bethesda, Maryland: A project of Bethesda Cares and Full Plate Ventures that preserves fresh, local food to nourish the hungry. Join them for this National Food Day event to celebrate the completion of Farm to Freezer’s first season—5,000 lbs. of organic vegetables donated; 1,400 lbs. blanched and frozen vegetables incorporated into Bethesda Cares’ meals program; and 2,500 homeless served.
