CSA Farm in Illinois Seeks Apprentices for 2013
Want to learn about sustainable farming practices? La Vista CSA Farm in Illinois is offering two apprentices for the 2013 season. They seek 2 motivated, hard working, productive, reliable individuals who have a strong work ethic and who are dedicated to sustainable practices in farming to do a farm apprenticeship program in 2013.
La Vista CSA Farm (The Community Supported Garden at La Vista) is located on the scenic bluffs of the Mississippi between Alton and Grafton Illinois.
One apprenticeship would be March thru September and the other would be May thru November. These time frames are adjustable for couples.
Both apprenticeships are 40-60 hours per week.
Experience preferred but not required; Must have own transportation. Must be a team player and willing to take direction from my husband and I (The Head Farmers); Housing not provided; Apprentices would receive a stipend of $1000 per month plus a full share of produce weekly.
