Iowa Cover Crop Initiative Offers “Good Farmer Discount” on Crop Insurance Through a new discount program made possible thanks to an innovative agreement developed between the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Risk Management Agency (RMA), cover crops on “new” acres (those not already getting cost share from federal or state conservation programs) are now eligible for a $5 per acre incentive through crop insurance….READ MORE
