Beginning Farmer Grants Program
The Beginning Farmer and Rancher Competitive Grants program administered by the USDA’s Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES) is offering several opportunities for stakeholders to provide input on program development and implementation.
They are accepting input for the 2009 funding cycle until November 14, 2008.
These opportunities are listed on the CSREES website at:

Where can one get a applicapition for a beginning farmer
grant.
Prince,
That’s simply too general a question. Most farms are considered businesses, and unless you run a non-profit there aren’t many grants for starting a business, whether it’s a farm, a restaurant, or a strip club. I suggest you look at the financing resources available at https://www.beginningfarmers.org/funding-resources/.
i have acsess to 35 arces with spring feed pond would like to start a goat farm .
this farm would be self sufficiant within 2nd year. but dont have resources to start
Lyle,
Check out the Starting a Farm page, the Financing (Loans/Grants) page, or e-mail me at beginningfarmers@gmail.com and we can talk more in depth about the steps you need to take to get the resources you need.

I simply don’t have the time. I’m trying to finish a PhD, support my family, and administer this site among many other things. Unfortunately the website is not something that pays particularly well. I also don’t think you fully explored the site, because I do have a number of essays and more extensive posts on it. How about you hit me back when you have a website with 3000 posts and 20 informational pages that you are doing as a hobby.
