American Farmland Trust Conference 2013
American Farmland Trust is now accepting registrations for Harvesting Opportunities in New York: Growing Local Food Economies and Protecting Farmland, a 2013 conference that will inspire and educate New Yorkers to support agriculture, strengthen local farm and food economies, and get involved in protecting farmland.
This exciting one-day event will take place on November 15, 2013 at the Hotel Albany in downtown Albany. Farmers, public officials, land trusts, local food and public health leaders and concerned citizens are encouraged to attend. Highlights will include remarks by Verlyn Klinkenborg a member of the New York Times Editorial Board, and author of The Rural Life.
The $85 registration fee includes a locally sourced Thanksgiving-themed lunch.
