Agronomist Job in Wisconsin
A background, interest, and belief in sustainable agriculture practices.
General knowledge of agronomy/horticulture in the Midwest and organic/biodynamic agriculture.
Ability and interest in meeting with farmers and other interested persons about ongoing projects at MFAI.
Broad interest in agricultural issues nationally and internationally.
Experience with field work and knowledge of farm operations with regard to tillage, planting, and harvest.
Experience in managing field crews.
Familiarity with research layouts of field plots and data gathering.
Ability to work with a team of people to reach a specific goal and have fun doing it.
A desire to work with and teach interns who are often from other countries.
Attention to detail with regard to conducting and recording research.
Ability to organize information and prepare detailed reports in a timely fashion.
Good computer skills and above average verbal and written communication skills.
