Farm Internship in Minnesota at Easy Yoke Farm – 2020
For the 2020 growing season, this coming May thru September, Hannah and Daniel Miller at Easy Yoke Farm are looking for individuals who are passionate about vegetable farming and would like to work alongside successful, experienced farmers to learn what it takes to start and sustain an efficient small-scale vegetable farm.
Qualified applicants will need to be in good physical shape and be able to work 8 hours a day outside thru the growing season. The Millers strive to be sane and sustainable in their work structure, but it is essential that our workers are quick and efficient in all their responsibilities.
This is a farmhand position but could be a great experience for someone wanting to take the next step toward running their own successful small-scale farm. This person will be working directly with Daniel and crew on all needed farm tasks on a daily basis. Planting, cultivating and harvesting will be the main responsibilities. They will also will help with deliveries to co-ops and the weekly farmers market stand in Rochester – which is really fun!
Experience is appreciated but not necessary. The new crew member should enjoy hard manual labor outdoors and be able to work well and efficiently alone and in a small group to achieve daily farm goals.
