Type: Work an average of 20-25 hours per week

Compensation: Food plus room or housing subsidy

Farmer wanted to grow food at a long established intentional community.  Sell to our in-house food co-op plus markets/CSA if desired.  Farming operation consists of 3 high tunnels and several garden plots of various sizes.  Black raspberries and shiitake mushroom production is under development.  Responsibilities include supervising and educating interns and volunteers. Opportunity to assist with Heathcote’s permaculture workshops is available.  Work an average of 20-25 hours per week in exchange for food plus room or housing subsidy.  Residential and non-residential options are possible; the residential option will require applying for membership in the community.

Qualifications: previous farm experience, able to work cooperatively with others, creative thinker, self-starter. Located in a beautiful wooded valley with a stream and historic buildings 30 miles north of Baltimore.
