University of Wisconsin Organic Farming Field Day

Topics include: Organic no-till soybean and corn production, sweet corn variety trials, corn root worm management, fertility management in sweet corn, potato, and green bean, and the influence of fertility management on insect feeding in corn, soybean, and alfalfa. In addition, a full organic livestock management track will be included, discussing organic herd health, managed intensive grazing, and pasture management. By maintaining and restoring healthy soil and raising healthy animals, Earth-Be-Glad Farm remains a full-time independent family farm that provides an alternative to corporate factory-style confinement farms. US Testing Network Field Day – Corn Breeders Showcase

Brown Seed genetics will host a breeders showcase at their River Falls, WI site. The showcase will highlight experimental and elite corn material from public and private breeders across the Midwest. Throughout the day, attendees will be able to network under the tents and visit several booths hosted by partners of the project. Lunch will be served.
