Landscape Team Member
Job Type: Seasonal (hours may vary)
Compensation: Hourly, based on experience
Location: Lexington, KY; Nicholasville, KY
Essential Responsibilities:
Complete routine and specialized landscape duties including but not limited to weeding, shrub removal, pruning, planting, mulching, edging, hardscape installation, etc.
Assist with organic lawn care and garden installation as needed.
Ability to maintain a flexible, positive, and professional attitude in a range of circumstances.
Follow direction and guidance from management team.
Ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal supervision as well as work collaboratively with team members and provide direction from supervisors effectively.
Skills should include (but not limited to):
Ability to perform physical work, including heavy lifting.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Knowledge of organic lawn, garden, and landscape methods a plus.
Competence in using landscape maintenance equipment and tools (shears, hand tools, aerator, etc.; training provided).
Valid driver’s license and good driving record a must.

Founded in 2014 by Dr. Brian Storz and Brooke Hamilton, Kentucky Organics provides a science-based alternative to traditional, synthetic chemical lawn and landscape care. Dr. Brian Storz holds a PhD in Biology and is an adjunct professor at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, where he taught for six years. Brooke Hamilton holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Entomology and brings an extensive knowledge of natural pest control and plant disease. The Kentucky Organics team is passionate about the environment and the positive impact that can be made one lawn, garden and landscape at a time.
