Organic Grower Job at Mosby Farms in Washington State – 2016

Mosby Farms is located in the beautiful Green River Valley, just outside of Auburn, Washington. Our passion is being stewards of the land growing nutrient dense food for the Pacific Northwest region. We are looking for a highly organized, experienced and technically minded organic grower. The ideal candidate must be positive, hard working, energetic and enjoy working collaboratively with others. This is a key leadership position that reports directly to the Owner.

The Organic grower job will include management and development of current farm crew as well as crop rotation design, soil testing and improvement, possible plasticulture production, green house growing, irrigation, disease and pest management. The ability to operate equipment and drive tractor is necessary. The Organic grower must have the ability to research new techniques and stay current on requirements to meet Organic certification. The Organic grower will keep detailed records of all aspects of the organic farm and be familiar with NOP guidelines and OMRI standards. The Organic grower needs a practical foundation in production agriculture, be experienced in managing a farm with multiple specialty vegetable crops. Communication is key, working independently, being accountable and on task to obtain the weekly, monthly seasonal goals is a necessary skill. Speaking spanish is a plus. This is a full-time position.

Our Organic production is looking to expand beyond our current wholesale and community supported agriculture program. The ability to have vision for possibilities is imperative, along with a good sense of humor. Come grow with us!
