Organic Farming Interns Wanted for 2016: Granor Farm located near Three Oaks, MI is a 25-acre farm growing a wide variety of organic vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruits. We also have a small flock of laying hens and ducks. We are Environmentally Verified through the State of Michigan MAEAP program, and have 10 acres under USDA organic certification through OEFFA. We market through an on-farm store, CSA program, local farmer’s markets, and area restaurants. This year we’ll be expanding our programming to include farm workshops, events and featured chef dinners. We are located in the heart of SW Michigan’s Harbor Country, close to Lake Michigan beaches and vibrant small towns, just 90 miles from Chicago.

We are seeking 2-4 organic farming interns to join the farm May-October, with a minimum stay of 2 months. We offer education and farm training, on-farm housing and produce from the farm, as well as a stipend. (Sorry, our intern housing options do not allow us to accommodate couples/families or interns’ pets). Interns work approx. 50 hours per week, and will participate in all aspects of organic vegetable production, from seed to market.

Our ideal candidates will possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, physical fitness, and a good sense of humor. Previous farming and/or customer service experience is a plus. Non-smoking an absolute requirement.
